What is ABA Therapy?

Hey guys! - Hope you all enjoyed the weekend. I want to again personally thank those of you who have been reading, writing in, and supporting this blog. I have been getting tons of e-mails from parents and teachers not only asking me questions, but providing me with a lot of insightful stuff that I want to share with the rest of you! I noticed a handful of people writing in about something called ABA therapy (Applied Behavior Analysis). First, I want to give a shout out to Carla for writing that e-mail in. What are you feeding your skin?

It is often said that “An apple a day keeps the Doctor away” but it is also true that a stroll through your produce aisle may keep you out of the Dermatologists office.  Studies show that what we eat can have an impact on how we look – both in the short term, and long term. For most moms, there is no greater gift than knowing your baby boy or girl is happy and healthy. Meilani, being my first born, gave me the initial taste of what it entails to be a parent. Aside from the occasional temper tantrums, Meilani has been blossoming into a beautiful and smart young lady. Let me just say - that little girl has taught me A...

What chemicals are you spraying around, rubbing on or treating your kids with?

This is a question that I never thought about  . . . until recently.  So now I have to ask myself  "Did this make me a bad mother?"  I just trusted what companies were putting out there for me.  I guess I just assumed that they cared about the safety of my kids.  If it felt good, and it smelled good, and made my babies skin kissably soft, I was all over it!  I have been so blessed to see the outpouring of love and support for the heart-tugging challenge I am going through with Greyson.  And you know me...
